Avantika Debnath is a corporate professional who gets drunk on good reads. Having devoured Khaled Hosseini, Erich Segal, Amitava Ghosh and Jhumpa Lahiri, she finally figured out that writing is the only thing she can find solace in. She also has a crazy side to her personality, with zero tolerance for hypocrisy and open denial of truth. Her first book, The Bridal Pyre - Nainam Dahati Pawakah is a battle against such evils. She speaks her mind through everything she writes and she writes it like she means it.

Comment : A Relationship is what it is - a relationship, regardless of how and when it came into being. The source of its inception stays equally insignificant. If two people have come together and found love and each other, the channel of it will not find a bearing on it. People make relations, not the source. The danger that hovers over relationships in the digital age is the ease and reach one finds in approaching a third person despite the existence of a second person in ones life. One needs to have that control over the self. Extra marital or deceit was common even in the age when social media had no existence. Its the bond that counts, not the platform.

We all are so hooked to checking our social media platforms day in and day out and we come across so many people, we make connections, we form relationships, we stay with some, we leave some at a point of time, in this digital first generation, do you think one can find a serious relationship and work it out for a life time? A forever meant to be?

Comment : I just hope that this time it is indeed love for Kabir and it lasts forever... as for the "older" man thing, there was a time when I would consider every man older to me by mere 5 years as an uncle, but I was a teenager then.. as I grew up the age margin faded out... TBH, I have a mind too matured for my age and only a man who is ahead of me by lot many years can equal me in thought process.. so I get this topic totally

Comment : It sounds so hypocritical wen people blame west's influence for the existence of homosexuality in India... It was always a part of Indian culture, just that it was a hush hush thing behind closed doors.
