Poet, writer and academician, Joie Bose is considered one of the best emerging poets writing in English from Kolkata. Her first collection of poems is Corazon Roto and Sixty Nine Other poems. She was co-editor of Dawn Beyond the Waste. She is the General Secretary of Poetry Paradigm, the first English Poetry collective, of Kolkata. Her short stories and poems have been published in several anthologies in both India and abroad, and have been featured in The Statesman and The Telegraph. She is currently writing her PhD dissertation on Diaspora Studies.

During our years of growing up, we come across some fictitious character in a book or a movie who is etched up by the writer so beautifully that it leaves behind an indelible imprint on mind, enough to last a lifetime.
