I find my in laws to be very judgemental and always getting involved between my husband and me. I wish we would move out and live by ourselves. It would solve half our problems!

In the end, they are your husband’s parents. Will putting geographical distance actually stop their influence?

I think you need to look for effective solutions. Why not try to talk to your husband as well as your in-laws that more than interference and squabbles, you can all support and be there for each other for a change?

Too much interference would only lead to you taking some drastic steps which you don’t want to. They might see some sense then.

Maybe that’s the best option. But I would advise you to give it some time. I hope you get all the support
From your husband. I think that matters a lot. It’s very important for the husband to remain supportive in these circumstances. Give it some time and it will be ok

Maybe talk to them and tell them what you find interfering. It is important to draw boundaries in every relationship, including your in laws, especially since you are living with them. Perhaps they will understand if you tell them

Speak to your husband and see if he agrees. He may not and that may cause friction between you two. What may be interference for you could be love for him or perhaps he is used to his parents having a big say in his life, including marriage
