Interracial marriage

I had a love marriage and married an Englishman. But now that we have young children, I feel a lot of our opinions on raising them differ. These problems of our interracial marriage are really making me question if I did the right thing. I still love my husband and feel very guilty for thinking like that!

I think people are the same everywhere. It is our social constructs that inhibit us from seeing that. Even if you had married a person of the same race, there would have been differences in raising your children!

I think all this thing come with interracial marriages and everyone who marries someone from other race faces all this and then get over it. So both of you can try to learn more about each other and whose point of view feels more rational and then take a mutual decision for your kids.

Men are patriarchal and don't really care about the wife's sentiments, family that she left for them and in your case, your culture. Have an honest discussion with him and tell him you want to give your children the choices to expand their knowledge by knowing the cultures of both the parents...
