Religion and marriage

My husband and I have never been the religious kinds. But recently because of a rough patch at work, my husband has decided to turn to God. Which is fine with me, except he wants me to join him. I do not really believe in all this and don’t see the point in doing it if it is not from my heart. But he thinks I am just being a bad wife. I don’t think it’s fair that I have to start doing whatever he is doing or believe what he believes!

You need to keep believing in whatever you believe in and shouldn't change for anyone! Just talk to him about it and let him follow whatever he wants to follow. Don't let such differences ruin your marriage.

Agree with you. When people have faith, it comes from inside of them. And those who don't believe have an equal right to not believe. Either way, faith should not be forced on or out of people. It is a personal choice. You must tell your partner that you will join him only the day you feel religious! Else it will be disrespect towards him.
