How important is it to tell or keep secrets from one’s partner, especially when you have had past relationships that have left things in a mess, yet to be cleared?

We all have certain secrets, and are always afraid of keeping the cat safely in the bag. But how to decide whether to make our past clear before our partner or keep it buried and move on?

  1. Honesty is overrated! Yes, I said that.*p**p* *p**p*If you have a wonderful relationship where things are perfect, why muddy the water by bringing up things that do not matter anymore. Are you still the same person that you were 10 years ago? I hope not.*p**p* *p**p*Similarly, your partner also has the right to keep his fair share of secrets (of the past) from you if those secrets have even an ounce of chances to ruin your marriage.*p**p* *p**p*Stay focussed on what you have and forget the bad things of the past.*p*
