Is peer pressure becoming a major cause of stress for Singles?

When i notice the teenagers around me , i feel there is one thing common amongst majority of them . Either they are already in a relationship ( Yes! Even at the age of 14 ) or they are constantly under pressure for finding a GF/BF so that they can fit well in their social circle. Not just the teenagers but i feel this need to FIT IN has become a major cause of stress for Singles of all age group. Due to this , they sometimes tend to fall in wrong relationships .I would love to know what others think about this.

  1. Yes. You are right. We have this tendency to go along with the trend and with the advent of social networks like facebook, more number of youngsters are able to interact with each other more easily and that, I feel, is the source of many unsuccesful relationships. So it is more like fitting in with the trend than pure love that is forcing them into such relationships. To be precise, they are in love with the idea of love and not the human being.*p*

  2. To be honest, I have never felt the peer pressure- at least not upto now- age 32 :)*p**p*But it could be because I am a weirdo loner ;)*p**p*Though in my future, I do see someone significant with whom I would like to share a part of my life and grow old- maybe a loner like me! *p**p*And yes, it is better to be single than in a wrong relationship only because everyone else seems to be enjoing it- you never know what the happy couples are hiding!*p*

  3. This is true to some extent. While you are surrounded with friends who are committed, and always discussing their lovey dovey stories, those 'Cute moments', the single YOU might feel awakward, and feel the desire to have a relationship, to live a dream relationship.*p*
