Remember the “Gift of the Magi” by O’Henry? Do we have such stories of true gifts in our married lives?

What gifts do we truly treasure? A diamond, an exotic holiday or just time spent together burning the dal, cracking bad jokes or maybe just enjoying the silence of understanding? Would love to hear the real “Gift of the Magi” stories I am sure all of us have.

  1. This may not be at par with diamonds, but the first gift my husband gave me was way more precious. Today, he is an accomplished woodworker (besides being a software professional), but those many years ago, he was a novice. I remember him labouring over an easel for days and days with rudimentary instruments, so he could give it to me for my birthday. By the time my birthday came around, there were ‘chaalaas’ on his hands and tears in my eyes.
