Unconditional love or compromise

Is love in marriage unconditional or is it a mix of compromise and taken for granted? There may be a few who love unconditionally but for most, romantic love is a quid pro quo. What happens in long term marriages or even arranged marriages where the couple may not have fallen in love had they not been married?

  1. I am not totally denying the possibility of this to occur but there must be something which is making the partners stick together in long term relationships. And most of the times it's love. And there are compromises which are made when you actually want to make them. Compromises are not all that bad when the person in front have a rational explanation for that. So yeah it is complicated that how people who outwardly don't seem to love each other but somehow make the relationship work in some way or the other. *p*

  2. It is compicated. Thank you for shedding some light on the matter.*p*
