Ditching Red for the D-day
2017 has seen a lot of celebrities taking the long road of marriage for good and flooded Instagram with pictures of exquisite wedding locations, dreamy ceremonies and generous dose of mush. But last year has also seen rise of pink as the favourite bridal lehenga colour for the celebrity brides giving us the perfect wedding fashion goal to chase for our own.
Feminine, sublime and pretty in pink
Since past few years pastel shades have made a comeback not just on the runway, but also in celebrity weddings. From beige to silver and from cream to ivory – Indian bridal fashion is breaking the norm of wearing red, gold and blue and shifting towards more experimental colours. Pink in particular has become the most preferred colour of the brides and there is a very good reason. For starters, it’s hard to go wrong with pink because the colour suits most Indian skin tone. For the D-day all brides want a colour that is feminine and kind of magnificent. And no colour does better justice than pink.
