It hasn’t been three days since Manushi Chhillar was crowned with the coveted Miss World 2017 title, and she is already ruling our hearts as a queen!
After Manushi brought the crown home, congress MP, Mr Shashi Tharoor, took to Twitter to remark about this extraordinary event. Tharoor being a man who loves to play on wit of words, made a pun on the word ‘chillar’. Apparently, Tharoor’s Tweet was aimed at the opposition BJP’s demonetisation scheme and Manushi’s name was humorously dragged in.
What a mistake to demonetise our currency! BJP should have realised that Indian cash dominates the globe: look, even our Chhillar has become Miss World!

This tweet didn’t go down well on social media and Tharoor was thoroughly criticised.
But Vineet Jain, Managing Director, Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd came out in Manushi’s support and tweeted an encouraging response.
I saw @ShashiTharoor tweet regarding @ManushiChhillar . I wasn’t offended even though she is a times girl. We need to learn to be more TOLERANT towards light hearted HUMOUR. #MissWorld2017 #MissIndia

Vineet’s message was taken by Manushi in the same tolerant and chilled out spirit. And her response to Tharoor’s tweet won her millions of hearts all over again!
Exactly @vineetjaintimes agree with you on this. A girl who has just won the World isn’t going to be upset over a tongue-in-cheek remark. ‘Chillar’ talk is just small change – let’s not forget the ‘chill’ within Chhillar 🙂 @ShashiTharoor https://t.co/L5gqMf8hfi

Vineet hailed her as ‘the deserving queen of the world’ and we couldn’t agree more.
Haha. Now that was funny. You are the most deserving queen 👑 of the world and you are surely chilled out. @manushichhillar #missindia #missworld2017 @ShashiTharoor https://t.co/FS2AqANpUu

Even the giant personality, Shashi Tharoor, acknowledged Manushi’s graceful response and called her a ‘class act’, ‘beautiful’, ‘smart’ and ‘uncommonly gracious too’.
You're a class act, @ManushiChhillar! Beautiful, smart & uncommonly gracious too. Still, if any offence was caused to any member of your family, sincere apologies. Like every Indian, I'm proud of you. https://t.co/42wdOqV0wZ

Manushi’s response to Tharoor has a valuable lesson for all of us. Not only is she living up to the name of the crown, but also the values of tolerance and kindness that we Indians have currently forgotten. Had she wanted to drag this issue out, she could easily have. And we’re sure a number of Indians on social media would have blindly backed her up to spit venom. But Manushi chose not to.
Manushi’s response showed us that there is always a path of love to choose over hatred and intolerance. Somewhere in the back, you can hear Sushmita Sen’s wishes for Manushi – “You are truly born for greatness”.
Now, aren’t these small acts of love and kindles that lead us on a path to greatness?
She is a diva both by appearance and smartness! her answer to the tweet explains how sharp she is!
