Romantic bliss of Victoria Memorial

Far away from the maddening crowd

Take me to the land we crave my dear

Every land seems romantic when you are with me

Let us not be disturbed by those un-romantic travelogue….

I know not dear what bliss it will be

But you with me and I with you is what we need.

These words always hum in my mind whenever we plan for a holiday. My hubby has always been an introvert and never been able to express his views spontaneously. After our traditionally well arranged marriage I was expecting a soulful Honeymoon …quite romantic and somewhat filmy types but LO! What I got was a family holiday to the romantic Darjeeling with his elder brother’s family.

After that day I do rarely ask my hubby for a romantic outing together as he pacifies me every time and convinces me that home is the best place. Actually after my so called honeymoon, I never thought of any place where I could go out with him. Though throughout this long span of twenty-two years we went to numerous places in and around Mumbai but I never saw him taking any initiative for planning our holiday. But now the contest came as blessing to me as I got a chance to ask him about his favourite place for holiday .Initially I got that same answer you decide but when I asked him in a romantic way …

”Dear which place would you enjoy going for a holiday with me (and I also added, to change his mood) if you ever wanted to spend some romantic time with me?”

I saw him blush after twenty-two years of our ravishing marriage and for the first time he told that he would love to take me to beautiful Kolkata. I understood that he enjoyed his home town so much. And further asking he told that he would love to move hand in hand through the romantic Victoria Memorial. As during his college days he had seen many couples in romantic lock and always desired to come to this beautiful place with his love.

Seeing his desire to take me to that romantic Victoria Memorial I searched that place in the internet and what I saw really made me awe-struck. The premises of the monument are covered with sprawling gardens, beautiful shrubs, colourful flowers, and cute water bodies.

Now this became the place we both now long to go for a holiday is the romantic Victoria Memorial.
